Stephen M. Sorett has joined McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP as a partner in the original and largest national government contracts practice in the country. He will be based in the firm's Washington, DC office.


Mr. Sorett has extensive experience in numerous areas of government contracting, including privatization and outsourcing, project finance, contract formation and cost accounting.


Mr. Sorett has helped companies of all sizes obtain contract awards from federal agencies through the creative structuring and use of acquisition vehicles. Among Mr. Sorett's notable approaches is the patenting of business methodologies that provide for unique blends of products and services.


Mr. Sorett's professional experience includes serving as a senior attorney and assistant general counsel for the United States Environmental Protection Agency, as a staff attorney with the United States General Accounting Office and as Director of Curriculum for the Government Contracts and Environmental Law Programs at George Washington University's National Law Center.
