Proskauer OpensOffice In Boston

The firm of Proskauer Rose LLP has expanded to Boston. The opening of the new office, the firm's seventh, has been spearheaded by Steven M. Bauer, partner, Joseph A. Capraro Jr., partner, and Daniel J. Bernstein, senior counsel.


Also joining the Boston office recently as a partner was Mark W. Batten, a prominent labor and employment attorney. Mr. Batten was previously a partner at Bingham McCutchen.


"The city of Boston and the Route 128 corridor are areas with among the highest concentrations of high-tech companies and universities in the world - presenting a significant opportunity to further expand our practice," said Alan S. Jaffe, Proskauer chairman.


Mr. Bauer has more than two decades of complex patent and other intellectual property litigation and dispute resolution experience. He has been successful lead trial counsel in more than a dozen patent, trademark and licensing trials in federal courts across the country.


Mr. Capraro has been advising clients in all aspects of the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights for more than a decade. His experience spans the spectrum of intellectual property areas.


Mr. Bernstein's practice focuses on the licensing of intellectual property rights in the high-technology and biotechnology industries. He counsels technology companies and their investors on issues relating to the protection and enhancement of intellectual property.


Mr. Batten has extensive experience in all aspects of employment policies and practices, including hiring, termination, leaves, accommodation of disabilities, and other matters.
