JAMS, The Resolution Experts, the nation's largest private provider of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services, has a new Chairman of the Board, former Sonoma County Superior Court Judge William L. Bettinelli, who is a Northern California based neutral with JAMS.
Judge Bettinelli will serve a two-year term as Chairman of the Board and replaces outgoing Chairman Hon. Coleman F. Fannin (Ret.), who served as Chairman for five years. He was elected at the Annual Owners Meeting and Board Meeting on May 1.

"I have worked closely with Bill during the past five years and feel fortunate that we will be able to collaborate even further to strengthen JAMS position as 'The Resolution Experts' and the leading national ADR provider."
During the last six months, JAMS has made great inroads in becoming a more national company and now has 22 resolution centers nationally. East Coast based ADR Associates LLC joined JAMS in January 2004 and JAMS recently opened new resolution centers in midtown New York, Washington, DC and Boston.In addition, JAMS has attracted top recruits to strengthen its panel and offer greater resolution expertise to clients. JAMS also is exploring new markets for opening new resolution centers.
Judge Bettinelli has been with JAMS since 1991 as a neutral and has served on the board since 1999. He has extensive experience resolving complex multi-party cases as a mediator, arbitrator, and special master. Prior to joining JAMS, he had a 14-year judicial career, which focused on civil litigation and case resolution. He was a judge on the Superior Court of Sonoma County from 1982 to 1991 (presiding judge in 1984). From 1977 to 1982, he served as judge on the Sonoma County Municipal Court.
