WolfBlock Brach Eichler partner John D. Fanburg has been appointed to the State of New Jersey's Mandated Health Benefits Advisory Commission by New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey.
The Commission was created to study the "social, financial and medical impact of proposed mandated health benefits." Mandated health benefits are defined in the bill as "benefits or coverage that are required by law to be provided by a carrier and include: coverage for specific health care services, treatments or practices; or direct reimbursement to specific health care providers."
Mr. Fanburg is chair of the Health Law Practice Group and is resident in the firm's Roseland office. His broad experience representing major hospitals, diverse medical specialty groups and statewide physician specialty organizations provides him with in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the business of healthcare and he guides clients through the maze of regulations and corporate structuring pitfalls.
