Proskauer Rose LLP has announced that Bruce L. Lieb and Ronald R. Papa have been named co-chairs of the firm's Corporate Department, and that Rory Judd Albert and Howard L. Ganz have been named co-chairs of the firm's Labor & Employment Law Department.
Mr. Lieb's practice is concentrated on private equity transactions, including the formation of investment partnerships and funds, institutional investments and financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He represents numerous financial services companies, including investment banks, financial holding companies and investment advisers.
Mr. Papa's practice is concentrated primarily on domestic and international transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other business combinations in a broad range of industries and sectors, including telecommunications equipment, oil and gas, chemicals, service industries and others. He has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and advising clients on a wide variety of transactions, including stock acquisitions, asset acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, auction transactions, and cross-border transactions.
Mr. Albert, who also leads Proskauer's 30-plus attorney Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Law Group, practices exclusively in this area. He advises clients in connection with the design, implementation and operation of defined benefit, defined contribution, profit sharing, 401(k), severance, executive compensation and other types of deferred-compensation plans, as well as all forms of health and welfare plans.
Mr. Ganz is also co-chair of the firm's Sports Law Group, which numbers among its clients Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the Women's National Basketball Association, the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, the ATP and WTA Tours, and the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets.
