McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP has announced the addition of Frederick R. Anderson as a partner and Geraldine Edens as Of Counsel in the firm's Environmental practice.
Mr. Anderson is a nationally prominent environmental law and public policy practitioner and a former dean of the American University Law School. He and Ms. Edens will join the firm's Washington, DC office.
Mr. Anderson's practice involves litigation, enforcement, regulatory and legislative affairs, financial transactions and corporate counseling. His work focuses on science, energy, natural resources and the environment.
He currently serves as a member of the executive committee of the National Academy of Science's standing panel on Science, Technology & Law.
Ms. Edens' practice involves environmental litigation, regulatory matters and issues regarding law and science. She counsels clients on environmental compliance, the law and science of chemical regulation, toxic tort health claims and Clean Air Act issues. She has an extensive background in health sciences and biological sciences and a Ph.D. in Education.
Eric Tanenblatt has been named to head the National Government Affairs Group at McKenna Long. The former chief of staff to Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue returns to McKenna Longwhere he formerly served as managing director of governmental and regulatory affairs.
In its annual ranking published in January 2003, Georgia Trend Magazine named Mr. Tanenblatt as one of the "100 Most Influential Georgians."
