Seven From ADR Associates Join JAMS, The Resolution Experts

Seven neutrals previously with ADR Associates, LLC have formally joined the panel of JAMS, The Resolution Experts. JAMS and ADR Associates, LLC combined their companies January 1 to offer expert dispute resolution services nationally.

Margaret L. Shaw and Carol A. Wittenberg, two of the four founders of New York and Washington, DC-based ADR Associates, LLC have joined JAMS in New York. They both have extensive experience as leaders in the dispute resolution community. They join two other newcomers to JAMS: international arbitration expert Robert B. Davidson, who became executive director of JAMS Arbitration Practice last October after a long career at Baker McKenzie, and Philip Allen Lacovara, a former senior partner and current senior counsel with Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw in New York, who joined JAMS on January 1.

Michael A. Lewis andLinda R. Singer, both ADR Associates founders, the Hon. Richard A. Levie (Ret.), Jerry P. Roscoe, and Edna Povich of ADR Associates, LLC joined JAMS last month in Washington, DC following the JAMS/ADR Associates merger. Deborah Gage Haude, a Chicago-based neutral with ADR Associates LLC, also has joined JAMS.

Ms. Haude, who has extensive employment law experience, became affiliated with ADR Associates, LLC in 2003. She previously served as a partner in Winston & Strawn's Employment Relations group, where, in addition to litigating individual and class action employment, benefit and executive contract cases, she served as a party-appointed arbitrator, participated in mediations and was instrumental in crafting numerous out-of-court settlements for clients.

Retired Judge Levie currently serves as a mediator and arbitrator in professional malpractice, contracts, discrimination, insurance coverage, personal injury and real estate cases. He also serves as the Special Master in several federal civil actions.

Mr. Lewis has mediated a variety of disputes involving commercial, public policy, and interpersonal issues. He regularly mediates employment discrimination matters for federal agencies including the Congressionally-created Office of Compliance.

Ms. Povich has been a full time neutral for more than 20 years providing mediation, facilitation, training and systems design services. She mediates business, employment, interpersonal, development and public policy disputes for corporations, individuals, state governments and federal agencies.

Mr. Roscoe, a mediator, lawyer, and lecturer serves exclusively as a mediator and arbitrator nationwide for more than 15 years.

A former civil litigator, Ms. Shaw has maintained an active ADR practice since the late 1970s, and has extensive experience mediating, arbitrating and facilitating a wide variety of disputes.

Ms. Singer, a mediator, arbitrator, lawyer, teacher, and author, has been active in the dispute resolution field for more than 30 years.

Ms. Wittenberg began her neutral career in 1980 as a labor arbitrator and has developed both a national practice and national reputation in the field. For the past eight years, she has focused her practice on the resolution of employment disputes.
