McNees Attorney Devin Chwastyk to Present at 2016 Healthcare Symposium

HARRISBURG, PA (June 28, 2016) – McNees attorney Devin J. Chwastyk will present on the topic of “Cyber Security in the Healthcare Sector” at the 2016 Healthcare Symposium, on July 19.

The 2016 Healthcare Symposium, organized by Central Penn Business Journal, will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey, 4650 Lindle Road, Harrisburg, PA 17411.

During the Symposium, healthcare industry representatives will meet to discuss a myriad of healthcare trends and best practices.  Event Topics include an update on the Health Insurance Exchange, Cyber Security, Opioid Epidemic and Wearable Devices and Technology.

Devin is Chair of the McNees Privacy & Data Security Group, and practices as Of Counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.  He counsels the firm’s clients with regard to privacy issues, including the development of data security policies and data breach response plans.  He also assists clients in responding to data breaches, including in rectifying, investigating, and reporting hacking and other data exposure events.  He otherwise focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, including the defense of class action lawsuits.

Devin received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude, and his undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University.  He is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Ninth Circuits; and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. 

He belongs to the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Associations, where he is a member of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Equal Professional Opportunity Committee.
