McNees’ Dana W. Chilson Graduates Leadership Harrisburg Class of 2016

McNees Member Dana W. Chilson graduated from the Leadership Harrisburg Area Community Leadership Series, Class of 2016.

Dana is Chair of the Insurance group and also practices in the Litigation, Financial Services and Injunction Practice Groups. She represents commercial and business clients in a wide variety of disputes, including contract challenges and questions regarding shareholder and corporate rights.  She also assists clients in obtaining and defending against injunctive relief, and analyzing their insurance coverages.  Furthermore, she represents clients in loan and credit workouts, collections and bankruptcy.

In 2015, Dana received the YWCA Tribute to Women of Excellence Award.  She is a 2016 Pennsylvania Rising Star® and was recognized as a Select Lawyer in 2014 and 2015. She is also an active member with the United Way of the Capital Region’s Women’s Leadership Network.

Dana is a former extern to Chief Judge Yvette Kane of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Dana received her J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University, magna cum laude and her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University.  She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania.  She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and the Dauphin County Bar Associations.

About Leadership Harrisburg

The organization works with area nonprofits focused on improving the community.  During the program, members of the class will learn about education, health care, the criminal justice system and other areas of need in the region. Class members will then form teams to work with various nonprofit agencies. Leadership Harrisburg class members include employees of some of the Harrisburg area’s biggest companies, most prestigious law and engineering firms, banks and nonprofits.
