Weil Advises The Sherwin-Williams Company on Antitrust Issues in $11.3 Billion Acquisition of Valspar

Weil is representing The Sherwin-Williams Company on antitrust aspects of its proposed acquisition of The Valspar Corporation. The transaction, valued at approximately $11.3 billion, will create a premier global paints and coatings company, and is expected to close in early 2017.

The Weil antitrust team includes global head of Antitrust/Competition Steven Newborn and partner Laura Wilkinson, and associates Megan GrangerJonathan Cheng, Leslie Roter (not yet admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.) and Ryne Saxe.
