McNees Attorney Kendra McGuire to Co-Present at the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges Mid-Annual Meeting

McNees Attorney Kendra McGuire will co-present at the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges (PCSTJ) Mid-Annual Meeting.Kendra is Member in Charge for the firm's Lancaster office and leads the McNees Orphans' Court Litigation Team.

The Mid-Annual Meeting will be held February 24-26, in Philadelphia, PA.  Kendra will co-present "Multiple Party Account Act – Joint Accounts for Gift or Convenience?" with James Mannion, Esquire, of Mannion Prior, LLP.  The presentation for Pennsylvania state trial judges is designed to address the perils of maintaining joint accounts and provide answers to frequently asked questions:

  • What are the benefits and risks of creating joint accounts? 
  • When is a gift made to the joint account holder?
  • Do joint accounts present an opportunity for exploitation?
  • What is the interplay between the MPAA and Powers of Attorney?  

Kendra, a member in the McNees' Litigation practice group, focuses her practice on contested Orphans' Court matters. She represents trust companies, financial institutions, privately held companies, shareholders, educational organizations, healthcare institutions and providers, charities and individuals. 

Kendra has been recognized as a The Best Lawyers in America® since 2012 and was named a Super Lawyer in 2015.  She has served on numerous boards to include, but not limited to, the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Visiting Nurse Association, United Way of Lancaster County, The Hamilton Club of Lancaster and the Lancaster Bar Association.  She is currently serving on the Lancaster County Orphans' Court Rules task force.

Kendra received her J.D. from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College.
