Weil Receives 2015 Pro Bono Partnership Champion Award

Weil has received the Pro Bono Partnership Champion Award in recognition of the firm’s service to the community and outstanding commitment to pro bono. The award was presented October 14 at the 2015 Pro Bono Partnership Gala in New York. Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf, who also served as dinner chair, accepted the award on the firm’s behalf. Cynthia McFadden, senior legal and investigative correspondent for NBC News, hosted the evening’s event ,and David L. Cohen, senior executive vice president of Comcast Corporation, was also honored.

The Pro Bono Partnership provides free business and transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations serving the disadvantaged or enhancing the quality of life in neighborhoods in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The Partnership provides nearly all of its services without charge and uses the proceeds of the Gala, which to date has raised $1.6 million, to support its programs.
