Akin Gump  announced on September 22 that Corey W. Roush has joined the firm as a
partner in its litigation and antitrust practices in Washington, D.C.  Roush, who focuses on
antitrust and consumer protection litigation and investigations, as well as white collar defense,
internal investigations and other complex commercial litigation, comes to Akin Gump from
Hogan Lovells.

Roush’s practice consists of representing large national and international companies in
various jurisdictions throughout the United States and before government agencies on antitrust,
consumer protection and False Claims Act/kickback qui tam cases and investigations. Over the
years, he has defended both pre- and post-consummation merger litigation brought by the

developed a particular niche representing clients in the life sciences and automotive industries.

“Our antitrust litigators have achieved great success over the years on behalf of our clients, and
the addition of Corey to our firm will continue to pay substantial dividends for them,” said Akin
Gump chairperson Kim Koopersmith. “With his ability to manage significant, multifaceted
government investigations, among his many other skills, Corey adds significant strength to our
already-deep litigation bench, and I am very happy to welcome him to Akin Gump.”

As lead counsel,  Roush has succeeded in having cases dismissed at both the motion to
dismiss and summary judgment stages. He also has assisted in procuring favorable settlements of
