Major Frauds Prosecutor Joins Jones Day as Of Counsel in Los Angeles

The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Christopher Pelham will join its Los Angeles Office as of counsel in the Firm's Business & Tort Litigation Practice. 

Pelham comes to Jones Day from the Office of the United States Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, where for the last eight years he was an assistant U.S. attorney in the Los Angeles office. In that role, he was a prosecutor of major frauds cases involving securities fraud, bank fraud and money laundering. He previously served in the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force Section, where he prosecuted federal racketeering, drug trafficking, and firearms trafficking cases. Pelham's experience as an AUSA included 10 federal jury trials and four oral arguments before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to becoming a federal prosecutor, Mr. Pelham was an associate in private practice where he worked in the areas of general commercial litigation and product liability litigation.
