Benesch Adds Four Partners, Including Chair of Litigation Practice and New Vice Chair of Firm

Benesch is pleased to announce that Joseph A. Castrodale, Gregory J. Phillips, Yelena Boxer and Andrew G. Fiorella will be joining the firm as partners in the Litigation Practice Group. They will be based in Benesch’s Cleveland office. Formerly with Ulmer & Berne LLP, together the four attorneys will bring to Benesch decades of experience representing large corporate clients in complex business and commercial disputes in federal and state courts throughout the country.

At Benesch, Joseph Castrodale will serve as chair of its Litigation Practice Group, vice chairman of the firm and member of the Executive Committee. The Litigation Practice Group, which is the largest practice group in the firm with more than 50 professionals, was recognized in 2015 by U.S. News/Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” rankings as a first-tier practice in Cleveland, Columbus and Indianapolis.

Castrodale represents clients in a variety of complex business matters, including class actions, contract disputes, securities law claims, shareholder derivative suits, business torts, defense of consumer claims, UCC matters, trade secrets cases, sports law matters, non-compete disputes and ADR proceedings.

Gregory Phillips litigates all aspects of complex business and commercial cases for public and private companies and individuals, as well as handles class actions, antitrust matters and corporate internal investigations. He is deeply experienced in legal and business ethics, having served as Ulmer & Berne LLP’s general counsel and chair of its Ethics Committee and a member of the Certified Grievance Committee for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.

Yelena Boxer represents public and private businesses in state and federal jurisdictions nationally. She handles litigation involving intellectual property, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, general tort, real estate, products liability, insurance, construction, employment, including collective actions, securities, probate and elections matters.

Fiorella represents and counsels businesses and all manner of complex commercial litigation, including class actions, securities fraud and derivative claims, financial institution litigation, merger challenges, and intellectual property disputes, such as patent litigation.
