Michael B. Cubell has joined the corporate practice of King & Spalding as a counsel in the New York office. He is the seventh lawyer in the past 12 months King & Spalding has recruited in this office for its corporate and financial institutions practices. He joins King & Spalding from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.

He has extensive transactional experience representing private equity firms and their portfolio companies, as well as public and private companies, in connection with domestic and cross-border acquisitions, dispositions (including IPO exits), joint ventures, minority investments, and general corporate matters (including securities law compliance, corporate governance and fiduciary duties). Before practicing law, Mr. Cubell was a credit and financial analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

His addition to King & Spalding’s New York–based corporate and financial institutions team follows the arrival over the past year of partners Drew Chapman, Israel Dahan, Cecilia Hong, Matthew Jacobson, Ellen Snare and counsel Michael Urschel.
