Sills Cummis & Gross Promotes Three New Of Counsel; Five Associates Join The Firm

Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. ( is pleased to announce that Thomas Kane, Andrew Lettington and Peter D. Visalli have been promoted to of counsel, effective October 1, 2014. 

Thomas Kane – Of Counsel, Litigation Practice Group – Princeton
Thomas Kane previously practiced at Dechert LLP and was a former Law Clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Thomas N. O’Neill, Jr. in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He has extensive trial court and appellate experience in litigating complex commercial disputes, class actions and product liability litigation. He has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including health care, finance, insurance, pharmaceuticals and retail services.  In 1999, he received his JD, with High Honors, from Rutgers University School of Law − Camden and was the Articles Editor of the Rutgers Law Journal.  

Andrew Lettington – Of Counsel, Real Estate Practice Group − Newark
Andrew Lettington's practice encompasses a wide range of real estate disciplines. He regularly assists clients with land use permitting and redevelopment issues, as well as with a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and leasing. Mr. Lettington is also experienced with the establishment and registration of residential and commercial condominium projects.   In 2005, he received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Newark. 

Peter D. Visalli − Of Counsel, Corporate Practice Group – Newark
Peter D. Visalli has experience representing public and private public companies in a variety of matters including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, general corporate matters, venture capital transactions, Securities and Exchange Commission compliance and corporate governance matters.  In 2005, he received his JD from Rutgers School of Law – Camden.  


Nicholas S. Bahnsen is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in the Newark office. He was previously employed by the Office of U.S. Representative Leonard Lance where he served as the congressman’s personal aide, service academy coordinator and scheduler. Brandon K. Boffard is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group in the Newark office. He previously was a judicial intern for Hon. Rosemary Gambardella, United States Bankruptcy Court.  

Christina Burke is an associate in the Health Care Practice Group in the Newark office. She was previously an associate at K&L Gates LLP in Newark. Gillian Kotlen is an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group in the New York office. She was previously an associate at a New York-based law firm and associate counsel at national title insurance company. Scheherazade A. Wasty is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in both the Newark and Princeton offices.  Prior to joining the firm, she was a Law Clerk to Hon. Jose L. Linares in the District of New Jersey.
