Fish & Richardson IP litigator Juanita Brooks has received two prestigious awards from the Daily Journal, one of California’s leading legal publications. In late April, she was named one of California’s top intellectual property attorneys and in May she was named a top woman attorney in California.
Upon naming her as an honoree for both awards, the Daily Journal noted two of Ms. Brooks’ recent wins in patent rights cases for clients Fresenius and Allergan. In the Fresenius case, she received a precedent-setting verdict regarding a hemodialysis machine after a decade-long infringement lawsuit. The Allergen case centered on the medication Lumigan® used to treat glaucoma and resulted in generic drug manufacturers barred from copying the drug until 2027.
Ms. Brooks is a nationally recognized trial and appellate lawyer who specializes in complex intellectual property litigation. She is known for her unique ability to explain complex technology to both judges and juries in a way that is both understandable and compelling.
