Mitratech has announced that it has acquired LT Online Corporation, whose flagship product Lawtrac has been a leading provider of legal management software for mid-sized legal departments for almost 30 years. This strategic acquisition further solidifies Mitratech's position as the most comprehensive ELM solution in the market.
“Across the globe, and in every market segment, the office of the general counsel is responding to increasing pressure to act as a change agent, make predictable decisions and provide full visibility to costs and budgets. Within these market dynamics, the technology needs of the legal department are maturing both within very complex organizations and within mid-size departments. Mitratech’s TeamConnect platform has served the needs of the world’s largest corporations for over 25 years, and now Lawtrac provides a complementary, end-to-end ELM solution for the mid-sized legal department,” said Jason Parkman, Mitratech CEO.
The addition of Lawtrac nearly doubles Mitratech’s client base, dramatically expanding the community of clients sharing best practices to transform the legal department’s effectiveness. Lawtrac offers matter management, e-Billing, legal hold, contracts management, native reporting and Office Suite integration on a single codebase platform. The software is delivered with minimal implementation time and can be delivered as an on-premises or managed hosting solution.
Support and development for Lawtrac products will continue uninterrupted with increased investment for growth, innovation and client engagement; Mitratech will add Lawtrac to its portfolio of ELM solutions available to the market.
“Mitratech and LT Online share a common vision of an integrated, end-to-end solution for the legal department,” noted Frank Orzo, LT Online Corporation president. “We are excited that Mitratech’s resources will allow us to extend the Lawtrac product suite beyond its current reach. I am confident that joining the Mitratech family will result in increased value for clients and the market at large.”
