Stradley Ronon has announced that Amy C. Fitzsimmons, Alycia M. Vivona and Ranan Z. Well have been elected to the firm’s partnership.
A member of Stradley Ronon’s preeminent investment management practice, Ms. Fitzsimmons, who is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office, represents investment management clients in complex regulatory and compliance matters. Her practice includes counseling clients in the registration and regulation of new and existing mutual funds and investment advisers, board meeting preparation and other board-related issues, fund restructurings, fund shareholder meetings and proxy materials, and other corporate and securities law issues. Ms. Fitzsimmons began her career at Stradley Ronon in 1999 as a paralegal. She earned a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a BA from Pennsylvania State University.
Ms. Vivona, resident in the firm’s Washington, DC, office, handles corporate matters, such as complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, secured lending and intellectual property licensing matters, as well as health care matters, both transactional and regulatory. She has particular experience representing foreign and domestic clients in cross-border transactions involving numerous countries, including China, Egypt, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Spain, Sweden and Thailand. Ms. Vivona received a JD from Columbia University School of Law, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She earned an MBA, with honors, from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a BS, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Based in Stradley Ronon’s Washington, DC, office, Mr. Well focuses his practice on a broad range of corporate and financing matters, and represents public and private clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures and debt financings. Mr. Well’s clients span numerous industries, including financial services, health care, food, hospitality and professional services. In addition, Mr. Well has significant experience in investment management transactions and works closely with Stradley Ronon’s investment management group in connection with advising sponsors in the formation of private investment funds; negotiating side letters on behalf of investors seeking to invest in private investments funds; mutual fund adoptions and mergers of registered investment companies; and purchasing and selling registered investment advisers. He received a JD from Boston University School of Law and a BA from Yeshiva University.
