Kelley Drye & Warren LLP has elected Deepak Nambiar to partner and has promoted Kristin S. Elliott, Maryann M. Palermo and Vincent P. Rao II to special counsel, effective July 1, 2013.
Deepak Nambiar is a partner in the New York office, and a member of the India practice group. He focuses his practice on a wide range of transactional matters, including general corporate, technology licensing, mergers & acquisitions, and outsourcing transactions. Mr. Nambiar also advises clients on cross-border transactions involving the U.S. and India. He has a wide range of experience working for a number of diverse industries including, technology, construction, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, entertainment, and healthcare.
Mr. Nambiar has been recognized as one of the top Internet and e-Commerce lawyers in The International Who's Who of Internet & e-Commerce Lawyers publication.
Kristin Elliott is special counsel in the New York office, in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice group. Her practice focuses on business reorganization, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Elliott has experience representing Chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, liquidating trustees, secured creditors and other parties in interest in all aspects of bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.
Maryann M. Palermo is special counsel in the New York office, in the Real Estate practice group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate, including financings, leasings, sales and acquisitions. Ms. Palermo has experience with transactions involving different types of commercial real estate assets, including office developments, retail property and apartment complexes. Previously, Ms. Palermo was Associate General Counsel at Our Lady of Mercy Healthcare System.
Vincent P. Rao II is special counsel in the Parsippany, New Jersey office in the Litigation practice group. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, consumer-oriented class action defense, intellectual property protection and employment litigation, including defense of discrimination, breach of contract and related claims. He represents consumer-facing businesses, including mortgage banking companies and telecommunications carriers, in various areas of litigation.
