Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young received Catholic Volunteer Network’s 2013 Bishop Joseph A. Francis Award for Service to the Community at a reception held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on April 18. The award honors those who have shown exemplary community service and a great commitment to volunteerism, with a focus on those serving in the Washington, D.C., area. Catholic Volunteer Network pointed specifically to the firm’s “outstanding financial contributions and volunteer efforts in support of nonprofit and charitable organizations.”
The award is demonstrative of Stradley Ronon’s commitment to philanthropy and community service. The firm supports hundreds of nonprofit and charitable organizations through financial contributions and volunteer efforts, and firm employees participate in the annual fundraising campaigns of several charities, including the American Red Cross and the American Diabetes Association.

Stradley Ronon partner Steven B. Davis has been appointed to the American College of Coverage & Extracontractual Counsel, a group of leading insurance lawyers across the nation that aims to improve the quality of the practice of insurance law to better represent both insurers and policyholders. The invitation-only college will hold its inaugural meeting in Chicago on May 7.
As chair of the firm’s insurance practice group, Mr. Davis represents property & casualty, liability and health insurers and intermediaries in regulatory, litigation and government affairs matters, and also provides counsel to insurance regulators in enforcement, policy and transactional matters.
