The New York State Wireless Association has elected White Plains attorney Christopher B. Fisher as its new president. Mr. Fisher succeeds NYSWA founding member Douglas W. Dimitroff as president. Mr. Dimitroff, who continues to serve on the association’s board of directors, is a partner with Phillips Lytle LLP and leader of the firm’s Telecommunications Team. He represents some of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, as well as regional telecommunications service providers and large and small telecommunications site owners and managers.
Among the four new members of the NYSWA’s Board of Directors is David E. Bronston, special counsel with Phillips Lytle’s New York City office. Mr. Bronston focuses his practice on telecommunications infrastructure and has extensive experience with network licensing and the intersection of telecommunications infrastructure with real estate. He has represented public and private property owners nationwide in license agreements, right-of-way agreements and other access agreements with telecommunications service providers. He has also represented all types of telecommunications service providers and carriers (with a particular expertise in Distributed Antenna System networks) in negotiating franchise agreements with local governments and obtaining all necessary legislative authorizations and administrative licenses, permits and approvals.
