Gibbons Ranked New Jersey's Top Lawyer-Lobbying Firm For Fifth Consecutive Year

For the fifth year in a row, Gibbons P.C. is ranked the #1 lawyer-lobbying firm in New Jersey, according to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission, which has just released its report on 2012 lobbying expenditures in the state, and as reported in the New Jersey Law Journal.

Despite revenues being down throughout the Trenton-based lobbying industry, business was still robust at Gibbons. The Gibbons Government Affairs Department outpaced its nearest competitor by $250,000 in lobbying fees for calendar year 2012 to retain its longstanding position as the state’s top lawyer-lobbying firm.

“As we head into a statewide election year, businesses want to make sure that their voices are heard. Our lawyers in Trenton are experienced advocates who deliver the strategic counsel necessary to help our clients with their public policy objectives,” said Patrick C. Dunican Jr., chairman and managing director of Gibbons.

“Our clients come from a broad range of industries. Whether it’s a healthcare policy initiative, a complex legislative matter, or an opportunity to partner with the state to grow jobs, we are our ‘trusted advisors’ to our clients. We help navigate and simplify the maze that is Trenton for those we represent," said David A. Filippelli, chair of the Gibbons Government Affairs Department.

The Gibbons Business & Commercial Litigation Department has been named the Commercial Litigation Department of the Year by the New Jersey Law Journal. This marks the publication's first list of leading litigation departments, which evaluated law firms with a New Jersey presence and significant litigation results in 2012.

“This honor is a great addition to our Department's top ranking in such publications as the Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America,” says Brian J. McMahon, chair of the Gibbons Business & Commercial Litigation Department. “In these publications, our clients consistently commend our team's responsive and thorough litigators, and deep bench strength.”
