Stradley Ronon partner Lee A. Rosengard has been appointed to the Directors and Officers’ (D&O) Liability Insurance Group, recently launched by the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). The group will explore ways to incorporate the use of mediation, arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution processes into the resolution of D&O matters.
Mr. Rosengard has 35 years of experience as a commercial litigator. He serves as Stradley Ronon’s general counsel, is chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group and is former chair of the Litigation Practice Group. In addition, Mr. Rosengard is a member of the CPR Institute Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, the American Arbitration Association Commercial Panel and Large Complex Case Panel, and also serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Commerce Program. He is also a lecturer at both the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Villanova University School of Law.

Stradley Ronon attorneys Valentino DiGiorgio and Josh Shapiro discussed the state and national political climate at “5 Days to Inauguration: The Future of Pennsylvania and National Policies & Politics” on January 16 at The Hub Cira Centre. The presentation, moderated by veteran Philadelphia journalist Larry Kane, will feature analysis of the 2012 election and insight into how Pennsylvania businesses will be impacted by the new political landscape.
Both Mr. DiGiorgio, a Republican, and Mr. Shapiro, a Democrat, are well known in Pennsylvania politics. Mr. DiGiorgio serves as the chairman of the Chester County Republican Party and Mr. Shapiro is the chairman of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners.
Serving as co-chair of the firm’s Banking and Financial Services group, Mr. DiGiorgio represents and advises banks, mortgage lenders and other non-depository institutions in connection with commercial lending, bank regulatory matters, federal and multistate compliance and licensing issues. Additionally, he is co-chair of the firm’s Public Finance practice group and a member of the firm’s Government Affairs practice group. Mr. Shapiro focuses his practice on general corporate work, real estate and regulatory compliance.

Stradley Ronon partner Kevin Boyle presented the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce “Visionary Award” to Allied Barton at the 30th Annual Excellence Awards in Philadelphia. As a sponsor of the event, Stradley Ronon joined the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce in honoring Philadelphia’s small businesses and leaders. The Visionary Award honors a large national or international corporation that began as a small company in Greater Philadelphia and continues to contribute to the growth and success of our regional business community.
Mr. Boyle chairs the Business Department and is responsible for oversight and management of more than 50 attorneys in the firm’s seven offices. He also serves on the firm’s board of directors and management committee.

Stradley Ronon partner Edwin “Tucker” Boynton co-chaired the Fourth Annual Men’s Event at the Kimmel Cancer Center on November 15 in Philadelphia. Mr. Boynton was also honored with the Spirit of Commitment Award. The proceeds of the event, which totaled approximately $200,000, went to prostate cancer research and patient care.
Mr. Boynton advises high-net-worth individuals and their families, particularly owners of closely held businesses, on all aspects of estate planning. He also handles trust and estate administration for large estates, charitable foundations, closely held businesses and generation-skipping trusts.
