Steven Bartz joins the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, other corporate transactions, and corporate governance matters. He earned a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2006 and an A.B. in Economics, with distinction, and Public Policy Studies from Duke University in 2003. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and State Bar of Georgia, and he is admitted to practice in Georgia and Texas. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, Bartz was an Associate at King & Spalding LLP.
Meghan Nylin joins the firm’s Trial Practice Group. She is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. She received a J.D., magna cum laude , from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2009 and a B.B.A., summa cum laude , from Southern Methodist University in 2006. She is admitted to practice in Texas. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, she served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Catharine Haynes in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Tracy G. Smith joins the firm’s Trial Practice Group. She focuses her practice on antitrust, criminal defense, and securities litigation. She assists clients with federal and state criminal investigations. She received a J.D. from Columbia University Law School in 2009 and a B.A., summa cum laude , from the University of Oklahoma in 2002. She is admitted to practice in Texas. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, Smith was an Associate at Haynes and Boone, LLP.

Sadie Harrison-Fincher joins the firm’s Real Estate and Banking Practice Group. She focuses her practice on real estate, leasing, and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, business and corporate planning, and contract negotiations. She is Co-Chair of the Tarrant County Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Section, is a Barrister Member of the Eldon B. Mahon American Inn of Court, and is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Tarrant County Bar Association, and Texas Bar Foundation. She served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Terrie Livingston in the Second District Court of Appeals. She received a J.D., cum laude , from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2003 and a B.A. from Scripps College in 1994. She is admitted to practice in Texas. Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, she was an attorney at Whitaker Chalk Swindle & Schwartz, PLLC.
