Harry K. Ahn Joins McCarter & English LLP

Intellectual property attorney Harry K. Ahn has joined the New York office of McCarter & English LLP as a partner. Mr. Ahn focuses his practice on patent prosecution, trademarks and licensing.

Mr. Ahn maintains a practice in all fields of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent prosecution, litigation, counseling and licensing.  He has been involved in diverse technical areas including telecommunications, electronic circuits, semiconductors, software, business methods, optics, and medical devices. Prior to practicing intellectual property law, Mr. Ahn gained extensive experience as a systems engineer in electronic switching systems and Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN).

Mr. Ahn is fluent in Korean and regularly lectures on U.S. patent law in Korea.  He earned his JD from Fordham University School of Law, his MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business, and his BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University School of Engineering. He is admitted to the bar in New York and Washington and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Mr. Ahn is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. He comes to McCarter from Abelman, Frayne & Schwab, where he was a partner.
