King & Spalding has been recognized as one of the top four global law firms serving as arbitration counsel in the latest edition of Global Arbitration Review’s annual GAR 30 survey. The firm moved up three spots in this year’s rankings and was listed as counsel on 54 pending arbitration matters with an aggregate value of more than $66 billion.
The ranking further solidifies King & Spalding’s position as one of the ‘big four’ of international arbitration, maintaining it place alongside Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Shearman & Sterling and White & Case at the top of this year’s list. Global Arbitration Review commends the group for “outperform[ing] when it comes to value of work,” and cites the exceptional job it has done bringing in highly-regarded lawyers and developing its associate ranks. King & Spalding is also identified as one of five “prospects” with the potential to reach the number 1 spot in next year’s survey.
