Proskauer "delivered results in the media spotlight" and "deft[ly] handl[ed] high-profile litigation," according to The American Lawyer. This included victories in numerous high-stakes cases on behalf of clients, including: the National Football League, National Basketball Association, Time Warner Cable, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Condé Nast and Parade magazine, among many others. Proskauer also won a landmark victory in the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the New York real estate industry in 14 Penn Plaza LLC et al. v Pyett et al., changing 35 years of labor law.

"Proskauer has made an indelible mark shaping modern-day management-labor relations, employment and employee benefits law," said Elise M. Bloom, co-chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Law Department. "We have been defined by major cases – playing out on the biggest stages – that have helped to shape the practice, the law and, in some cases, entire industries."

"This award is a testament to the extraordinary efforts of one of the deepest benches of talent of any full-service firm in the world," Paul Salvatore, co-chair of the department, added. "Beyond the distinct honor of being recognized by one of the industry's top publications, this award is particularly meaningful in that it also reflects the views of our clients as well as opposing counsel."
