Jennifer A. Bensch has joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as a partner in its New York office. Ms. Bensch joins Weil's Capital Markets team from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she was a partner serving financial institutions, corporations and private equity clients on a broad range of capital markets transactions and other corporate and securities law matters.
Ms. Bensch has experience in a wide variety of securities offerings, including initial public offerings and other public and private equity, equity-linked and hybrid security offerings, as well as high-yield and investment grade debt offerings, particularly in the context of acquisition financings and leveraged buyouts.

Ms. Bensch is a member of the New York, California and Washington, DC bars.
Eric J. Schwartzman has joined Weil as a partner in its Silicon Valley office. Mr. Schwartzman joins Weil’s Private Equity/Mergers & Acquisitions practice from Latham & Watkins LLP where he was a partner and former co-chair of its corporate department in New York.
Mr. Schwartzman’s practice focuses on private equity, M&A, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and general securities and corporate matters. He has extensive experience working with private equity firms and investment banks, as well as publicly traded and privately held companies in a broad range of industries.
“Eric's deep experience in private equity transactions and M&A is a perfect fit with our practice,” said Craig W. Adas, managing partner of Weil’s Silicon Valley office. “We look forward to Eric joining our team as we execute on our strategic growth plan for this office.”
Mr. Schwartzman was made a partner at Latham & Watkins in 2005 and served as the co-chair of the New York corporate department for three years. Previously, he was with Oscar Capital Management, where he and his team launched and managed an early stage venture capital fund. Mr. Schwartzman joined Oscar Capital after serving as director of strategic and business development for an Oscar Capital portfolio company. He is a charter member of the New York City Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle and is admitted to the bar in both New York and Connecticut.
