George C. Miller

All of us at The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel are experiencing the loss of our former client representative, George C. Miller, who passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2011. We know that those of you whose path crossed with his must be experiencing a similar sense of loss.

George was a devoted spokesman for The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel, being totally dedicated to the principles for which it stands: education of corporate counsel in terms of the highest ethical standards, support for the fellowship of working with marketers devoted to similar aims, and always totally devoted to promoting the fine standards that this newspaper stands for. He was always a gentleman and upheld the highest standards of his profession.

George was the proud son of a lawyer father, L. Reed Miller, partner in the firm of Arnold & Porter LLP, and Emilie Miller, both of the Washington, DC area. He leaves his wife, Dianna, two sons, Matthew of Los Angeles and Mark and his wife Chrisitine of Atlanta. He also is survived by Michael, his brother, and wife Margorie of Washington, D.C. and by his brother Clint and his wife Christine of San Pedro, CA.

A memorial service celebrating George's life was held at The New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, 1313 New York Avenue, Washington, DC on Saturday, August 13, 2011.

He will be sorely missed.
