The global law firm Jones Day is pleased to announce that David Roger has joined the firm's Brussels Office as Of Counsel. He will lead the Brussels Banking & Finance Practice and reinforce the Corporate/M&A team.

Mr. Roger, a lawyer at the Brussels Bar, has been practicing banking and finance and corporate/M&A law for 20 years. He represents top-tier international and national clients.

His recent key transactions include among others, an $800 million bond issue for a leading Belgian retailer in the U.S.; the ¤1 billion sale of the global business unit of a leading U.S. consumer goods manufacturer and the ¤5 billion sale of the worldwide pharmaceutical business of a leading European multinational.

JUVE, the leading legal publication in Germany, chose the acquisition of VAC Vacuumschmelze GmbH & Co KG (VAC) by Jones Day client OM Group, Inc. (NYSE: OMG) as its "Deal of the Month" for July 2011. OM Group acquired VAC from One Equity Partners, a private equity arm of JPMorgan Chase & Co., for ¤700 million, or approximately $1 billion.
