Datacert, Inc. has announced that Passport, its patent-pending technology platform for consolidating andintegrating legal applications, is a Stevie®Award finalist in the New Product or Service of the Year - Computer Software category in the 2011 American Business Awards. Since Passport was launched in September 2010, it has experienced rapid market adoption, having been selected by 27 companies and government entities, including 19 Fortune/Fortune Global 500 companies and Fortune Global #1. The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations - public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

The Stevie Award finalist designation follows other Passport accolades, including Datacert's recognition in a recent independent legal industry analyst report by Hyperion Research, where the company was named a "Market Innovator" for its vision of Passport.

In the U.S., legal services is a $260 billion-market that employs more than one million professionals in corporations and law firms. Research indicates that these professionals struggle with how to utilize technology applications effectively due to the abundance of disparate legal software solutions available.
