Sills Cummis Attorney Appointed Counsel To The North American Lacrosse League

Sills Cummis & Gross P.C. has announced that Anthony R. Caruso has been appointed League Counsel to the North American Lacrosse League.This newly formed men's professional indoor league plans to begin its season in the beginning of 2012 with six to eight teams playing a 12-game schedule, with additional exhibitions being played against international squads such as Team USA, Team Ireland and others.

Mr. Caruso, who previously served as League Counsel for the National Lacrosse League, was introduced at a press conference at the Ainsworth Hotel in New York City, where he spoke about the formation of the League and the proposed structure of independent ownership under a for-profit model.

Mr. Caruso is a former NFL player agent and owner of a professional minor league basketball team. He has appeared on Fox, MSNBC and NBC as well as various radio shows, and is routinely requested by various syndicated television, news and print media outlets for his advice and comment on current issues.He has appeared as a speaker at Princeton University, Rutgers University and Seton Hall University School of Law, and serves on the adjunct faculty of New York University and Belmont University, where he teaches sports, business and entertainment law.
