Richard Nathan, principal at accounting firm Marks Paneth & Shron LLP (MP&S), has been appointed to the Board of the New Jersey Chapter of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMCNJ) and will serve as its vice president. Mr. Nathan is also president and founder of Tailored Technologies LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of MP&S that provides external technology and management consulting services to small to medium-sized companies and nonprofit organizations.
The IMCNJ is an association of professional management consultants in New Jersey. Its members are consultants living in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania region who serve private, public and not-for-profit organizations and industries.
Marks Paneth has announced that Yasmine L. Misuraca, CPA, CFE, 40, a specialist in forensic accounting, fraud investigations, securities litigation support and economic damage analysis has joined the firm as a director in the Litigation and Corporate Financial Advisory Services Group.
Ms. Misuraca also brings an in-depth knowledge of both U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to her position. She will be based in the firm's headquarters in Manhattan.
Ms. Misuraca was most recently a director in litigation consulting at RSM McGladrey Inc. Prior to joining that firm in 2000, she was an accounting manager at Dentsu USA, Inc. She has also held audit positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Inc. and KPMG Peat Marwick. As a litigation consultant, Ms. Misuraca has worked with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) on major cases and served major law firms and corporate counsel by providing guidance to testifying experts.
Ms. Misuraca is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
