Alexandra LaCombe's election to Partner further strengthens the firm's Michigan-based practice given the depth of her experience and her attention to client service. Her practice includes both individual and corporate client matters in the automotive, technology and other industries, as well as internationally recognized universities and research institutions. Ms. LaCombe joined the firm in 2000 following several years as a solo practitioner and as in-house immigration counsel at Electronic Data Systems Corporation. She has provided pro bono services to the Russian and Eastern European communities of the Metropolitan Detroit area throughout her career, including representation in asylum and removal proceedings, family-based cases, and general immigration consultations.
As a newly elected Partner, Priscilla Muhlenkamp will focus on strategic immigration planning and regulatory compliance and bring a well-rounded approach to client representation from Fragomen's Washington, DC practice. She advises multinational corporations on employment-related immigration issues and leads a team servicing clients in a wide variety of industries, including information technology, management consulting, energy, manufacturing and telecommunications. She is a frequent lecturer on business immigration topics including Labor Condition Application Compliance, Employer Sanctions and Form I-9 Compliance.
With over 20 years of experience in the field of immigration law, Jenny Nieves brings a valuable level of knowledge and experience to the Fragomen Partnership. Ms. Nieves joined Fragomen in 2000 and represents multinational companies in the financial services, pharmaceutical, retail, technology and entertainment industries. She introduced her former firm to Fragomen, and the firm joined Fragomen in 2007, bringing with it a thriving Japanese practice and corporate clients in a wide range of industries.
Fragomen Global LLP has announced the promotion of Chris Spentzaris to Partner. Mr. Spentzaris is Practice Leader of Fragomen's Melbourne office and practices in all aspects of Australian Immigration Law, specializing in corporate, skilled and business-related migration. He assists businesses in bringing skilled personnel to Australia and advises clients who are seeking to establish or operate within Australia. He is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and is admitted to practice in the Federal Court and High Court of Australia. Mr. Spentzaris has been a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Immigration Law Specialist and a Registered Migration Agent since 1995. He is a member of the Migration Law Committee within the Law Institute of Victoria and a member of the International Human Resources Management Committee within the Australian Human Resources Institute. He is also a Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Victoria.
Fragomen Global Immigration Services, LLC (FGIS) and Fragomen Immigration Services India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the promotion of Saju James to Member of FGIS. His election to Partner (Member) reinforces the significance the firm places on maintaining a strong practice in India as an area of economic importance to Fragomen clients. Mr. James is the Country Leader in charge of all Fragomen services in India, currently operating out of offices in Bangalore and Kochi with representative offices in Hyderabad and New Delhi since December 2006. He is leading the India Inbound Practice and global back office operations from the India offices. Mr. James has been assisting government and industry organizations in India on immigration policy matters, leading multiple client engagements, and providing advisory services on global immigration strategies to multinational corporations based out of India. He is a frequent speaker on Indian, U.S. and Global Immigration strategies at international conferences including ERC, NASSCOM and ACIP.
William Foster, a Partner in the firm's London office, has been with Fragomen for over ten years and relocated to London full time as of January 1, 2011. Mr. Foster manages the firm's vendor relations in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions, and oversees the delivery of services for major accounts across the region. He has a vast knowledge of global immigration policy and large-scale infrastructure deployment projects in emerging markets.
