Stradley Ronon partners David C. Franceski Jr. and Lawrence Stadulis will speak at the 2010 National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP) national meeting on November 2 in Baltimore. Mr. Franceski will moderate a workshop, "Political Contributions, Procurement, Placement Agents & Lobbying: State & Federal Rulemaking Updates: Pay to Play Rules." Stadulis will present, "Advertising: Beyond the Definitions," in which he will provide a hands-on review of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority marketing materials and discuss creative conflict resolutions and negotiations. The NSCP's annual meeting serves as an educational forum to update its members on the most recent developments in regulatory compliance.
With almost 30 years of experience in securities litigation and regulatory enforcement, Mr. Franceski represents nationally known broker dealers, investment companies and other financial institutions. He also counsels clients with respect to insider trading, regulatory inquiries, formal investigations and enforcement actions, and regularly appears before governmental agencies and self-regulatory organizations with responsibility for securities industry oversight. Franceski chairs the firm's Securities Litigation Practice.
Mr. Stadulis is a member of the firm's investment management/mutual funds practice group and the partner-in-charge of the firm's Washington, D.C., office. He advises clients in matters pertaining to the registration and regulation of investment advisers and investment companies under federal and state securities laws. He manages related issues pertaining to investment advisers and investment companies including, matters involving ERISA, broker-dealer regulation and banking laws.
Stradley Ronon partner Linda Ann Galante will receive the 2010 Women of Distinction award presented by the Philadelphia Business Journal - which recognizes 25 of the region's most dynamic women. She will receive the award at the Women of Distinction Award Banquet on November 30, 2010 in Philadelphia.
Ms. Galante is a member of Stradley Ronon's business department and represents community banks, handling all aspects of bank regulatory and finance work, nonprofit institutions, particularly universities and cultural institutions, as well as real estate owners and developers. Galante sits on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, including Saint Joseph's Preparatory School, Gwynedd-Mercy College, Drueding Center/Project Rainbow, Forum of Executive Women and Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia. In addition, she serves on the board of Fiber-Line, Inc.
