Wiley Rein has announced the election of four new partners and two new of counsel to the firm, effective January 1, 2010.Joining the partnership are William S. Consovoy, Adam H. Gordon, Brendon M. Pinkard and Dylan G. Trache. Promoted to of counsel are Thomas R. McCarthy and Cari N. Stinebower.
William S. Consovoy returns to the firm's Communications Practice after completing a clerkship for Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Consovoy will assist clients with trial and appellate matters.
Adam H. Gordon joined the firm's International Trade Practice as of counsel in 2009 and represents U.S. manufacturers, industries and agricultural groups in antidumping and countervailing duty matters.
Brendon M. Pinkard, formerly an associate in the Communications Practice, concentrates his practice on cable television, video, telecommunications and broadband matters.
Dylan G. Trache, previously of counsel in the firm's Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Practice is board certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification.He advises and counsels clients on corporate reorganizations, creditor's rights, commercial litigation and other matters related to corporate insolvency.
Thomas R. McCarthy, formerly an associate in the firm's Communications Practice, represents clients in litigation before federal and state trial and appellate courts and in proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission and other federal agencies.
Cari N. Stinebower joined the firm's International Trade Practice after serving in the Office of the General Counsel (Office of Foreign Assets Control) of the U.S. Treasury Department. She counsels clients on compliance with U.S. economic sanctions, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and export controls.
