Nicholas F. Pellitta, a member of the Bridgewater, NJ-based law firm of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., has been named President of Hunterdon Prevention Resources (HPR) Board of Trustees. He will serve a two-year term.
Hunterdon Prevention Resources is a non-profit organization affiliated with the New Jersey Prevention Network and is dedicated to promoting health and wellness and preventing substance abuse and violence in the community.
Mr. Pellitta has substantial experience in a variety of legal areas in both federal and state courts. He has also represented colleges and universities for 20 years in areas such as tort claim defense, police litigation, civil rights and student discipline.
Jeanne M. Hamburg, a member of Bridgewater-based law firm Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., participated in a panel entitled "Ethics Update: 2009 - A Year in Transition" at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association on January 26, 2010, at the Hilton New York. The panel discussed the impact on IP practitioners of New York State's new ethics rules which became effective in April, 2009.
