Stradley Ronon partner Mark Chopko presented at the 2009 Risk Management and Finance Summit for Nonprofits in Austin, Texas, on September 20-22, 2009. The event, hosted by the Nonprofit Risk Management Center, brought together nonprofit leaders and professional advisors to discuss trends and hot topics in risk management, finance and human resources. In addition, Chopko is the co-author along with Melanie Lockwood Herman of Exposed: A Legal Field Guide for Nonprofit Executives, a publication to be released by the Nonprofit Risk Management Center in September.
He is also nationally known for his work on the tort liability of nonprofit entities. In addition, Chopko is an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown University where he teaches a seminar on church-state law.
Stradley Ronon attorney Joan Ohlbaum Swirsky presented at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association's seminar, "Update on Current Buy- Side Policy Issues." Swirsky spoke on money market reform proposed regulations.
As of counsel in Stradley Ronon's investment management/mutual funds practice group, Swirsky has counseled clients for more than 25 years, including more than 15 years advising investment companies on regulatory compliance and general corporate matters under the Investment Company Act of 1940, with a focus on money market funds and Rule 2a-7.

Jessum discussed basics of trademarks and copyrights, using intellectual property to protect assets and respecting the intellectual property rights of others. The Women's Business Forum is an organization dedicated to educating, mentoring and inspiring women business leaders and entrepreneurs.
