Kelley Drye has been selected in the India Business Law Journal (June 2009) list of "Top 10 Foreign Firms of 2009." The publication noted that more than 200 law firms worldwide have worked on India-related deals, transactions, litigation, arbitration and cases during the past two years. "Nevertheless, India Business Law Journal has identified 100 law firms - from global giants to niche developed-economy practices and lesser-known emerging market firms - that are the top international advisers for India-related legal work."

Of this list of 100 law firms, Kelley Drye was honored as one of the top 10 firms. In a feature article, "Leading from the Front," the journal highlighted the firm's practice noting that Kelley Drye's "core strengths lie with 'inflow,' representing Indian and international companies doing work in India, as well as with 'outflow,' advising Indian businesses doing work outside India."

The article mentioned the appointment of Maneck Mulla of Wakhariya & Wakhariya as Kelley Drye's special India counsel. The piece also noted Kelley Drye's representation of Tata Consultancy in its US$550 million acquisition of a Citibank BPO company and its representation of Strix Systems in its acquisition by iDream Holdings.
