New Jersey Women Lawyers Association Honors Sills Cummis & Gross Partner

Sills Cummis & Gross has announced that Lynne Anne Anderson, a member and vice chair of the firm's Employment and Labor Practice Group, received the law firm sector award at the New Jersey Women Lawyers' Association's (NJWLA) Second Annual Women's Initiative and Leaders in Law (WILL) Platinum Gala on April 2, 2009. This award recognizes Ms. Anderson's exceptional achievements with respect to her sustained contributions to gender equity challenges and other issues unique to women in the legal profession.

Ms. Anderson currently serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees for the NJWLA, acting as co-director of Public Policy and also sitting on the Endorsements and Appointments Committee. She was also a part of the National Association of Women Lawyers Planning Committee for the 2009 "National Night of Giving." To assist her colleagues within the firm, Ms. Anderson is co-chair of the Sills Cummis & Gross Women's Group.She is a member of the American Employment Law Council and has been chosen to become a fellow in Litigation Counsel of America, a Trial Lawyer Honorary Society.

Sills Cummis & Gross is pleased to announce that Brian Biglin, a first-year student at Rutgers School of Law in Newark, NJ, has been selected as the Firm's 2009 Charles J. Walsh scholar.In 2006, Sills Cummis & Gross established the Scholar Fund on behalf of the family, friends and colleagues of the late Judge Charles J. Walsh who, prior to his appointment to the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County, was a valued Member of the Firm for 17 years. Judge Walsh was also an adjunct professor at the law school.
