Mitratech, a leading provider of software solutions for organizations to manage matters, risks, and ensure compliance, announced the launch of its Green initiative, encouraging legal organizations to reduce paper waste using Collaborati®Spend Management (CSM).
CSM enables legal organizations to operate with greater environmental responsibility by eliminating roughly three-quarters of a ton in paper invoices for the typical legal department on an annual basis.
To further the green benefits of its CSM product, Mitratech is donating one percent of CSM revenues towards green charities focused on protecting and serving the environment. This year's recipient is TreePeople, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization dedicated to urban forestry and one of the largest environmental educators in the United States.
As a member of TreePeople's Corporate Forestry program, Mitratech will be planting and caring for 40 trees in Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles.
"Our Go Green program helps legal departments move away from paper-intensive operations to better comply with corporate green policies," said Afshin Behnia, President and CEO of Mitratech. As we expand CSM beyond e-billing to include rate, budget, and matter collaboration, we will further increase its earth-friendly benefits, helping legal departments operate more effectively and responsibly."
In its commitment to the environment, Mitratech will continue to donate a portion of its CSM revenues to green organizations annually.
