TRC To Consult In $3 Million Substation Design Project

TRC Companies, Inc., a leader in engineering, consulting and construction management that provides integrated services to the environmental, energy, infrastructure, and real estate markets, recently announced that it has been awarded a $3 million contract to serve as the engineering consultant on the Keene Road Substation Project for the Bangor Hydro-Electric Company.

"Bangor Hydro is Maine's second largest utility serving eastern and coastal Maine," said Glenn Harkness, TRC's senior vice president.

"TRC will perform all of the detailed engineering design and specifications associated with the substation construction," Mr. Harkness continued. "The 345kV substation will accommodate a control house, breakers, all the necessary electrical equipment and supports.Work has recently begun on the project and the substation is expected to go on-line by the fall of 2009."
