WolfBlock partner David Gitlin recently presented a seminar titled "Going Private - Should You Remain a Public Company?" at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce in Tel-Aviv, Israel. The program was co-sponsored by the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce and the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce.
Speakers at the seminar discussed whether a company is worth more as a private company or a public company as well as evaluated how to weigh the burdens and the benefits of remaining public.
Mr. Gitlin is chair of WolfBlock's Corporate and Securities Practice Group and is a member of the firm's executive committee.He has received parallel citations from the mayors of Philadelphia and Tel-Aviv for exceptional accomplishments in developing business opportunities for Israeli companies in the United States. He is the immediate past president of America-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC), Mid-Atlantic Chapter.
WolfBlock partner Daniel Clifford has been elected treasurer of the 1400-member Family Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA). Given the traditional succession of officers, he is slated to become chair of the section in 2013.
Mr. Clifford, a partner in the firm's Family Law Practice Group, is managing partner of WolfBlock's Norristown, Pennsylvania office.
