Stradley Ronon Key Presenter At Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Legal Division Symposium

Stradley Ronon attorneys Andrew K. Stutzman and Jeanne Rentezelas presented The Subprime Lending Market and Related Litigation Challenges at the recent Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Legal Division Symposium. They discussed how to evaluate litigation risk in open and closed banks; strategize for dealing with subprime litigation cases; and prepare the best defense. The symposium offered different perspectives from various panelists on the subprime industry.

Mr. Stutzman is chair of the firm's mortgage and lending litigation practice and represents clients in alleged predatory-lending discrimination and Truth-In-Lending Act claims in both regional and national courts. Ms. Rentezelas concentrates her practice in the area of regulatory compliance for the consumer financial services industry. She also counsels clients with respect to state laws that apply to consumer financial services products.

Stradley Ronon partner Bennett G. Picker made a presentation on "Multiparty Mediations" at the annual meeting of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators (ACCTM). Mr. Picker is a fellow of the ACCTM.He maintains an ADR practice, serving both as a mediator and arbitrator in business disputes and as a trainer in mediation and negotiations. He is the author of Mediation Practice Guide: A Handbook For Resolving Business Disputes - Second Edition, published by the American Bar Association. Mr. Picker is a member of the mediation panel of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and a member of the executive committees of the American Arbitration Association and the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution.
