Loeb & Loeb Expands Chicago Office

Loeb & Loeb has announced that Jeremy D. Margolis and Robert M. Andalman have joined the firm's Chicago office as partners in the Litigation Department and in the White Collar Criminal Defense, Corporate Compliance and Investigations Group. Both join from Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP where they were partners and Mr. Margolis served as co-chair of the firm's White Collar Defense Practice.

Mr. Margolis and Mr. Andalman are the third and fourth lateral partner hires in 2008 for Loeb & Loeb's Chicago office. Loeb & Loeb has been committed to actively developing their presence in Chicago, both in growth and diversification of practices. Earlier this year, Elizabeth Majers and James Inendino joined the corporate practice from McDermott, Will & Emery LLP, and last year the firm added a substantial patent litigation practice also from Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.

Mr. Margolis, a former assistant U.S. attorney in Chicago, provides counsel and litigates on behalf of clients in grand jury investigations concerning white-collar defense cases, as well as complex commercial litigation cases.

Mr. Andalman's national trial and appellate practice concentrates on complex business litigation and white-collar criminal defense.

Loeb & Loeb's Trademarks and Copyrights practice was recently awarded "U.S. Trademark Contentious Firm of the Year - West" by Managing Intellectual Property magazine. Awards were presented to the leading firms in the United States and Canada for their patent, trademark, and copyright work. Loeb & Loeb was also one of seven firms nominated for the national "U.S. Trademark Contentious Firm of the Year" award and one of four firms nominated for the "U.S. Copyright Firm of the Year - West" award.

Chaired by David Grace, the Los Angeles Trademarks and Copyrights practice provides a full range of services. In 2007, Loeb &Loeb's copyright litigation practice ranked number one among U.S. law firms in The Legal 500 United States, a law firm referral guide.

Loeb & Loeb has announced that Brad S. Needleman will join the firm's Litigation Department as a partner focusing on patent litigation. Mr. Needleman, who will be resident in the firm's New York office, also joins the firm's Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Industry Team.

Mr. Needleman's practice focuses on all aspects of patent litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels with particular emphasis on patent cases involving pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology matters including significant experience with Hatch-Waxman litigation.He also has substantial experience with patent cases involving the electrical and mechanical arts.
