To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :
The Delaware Valley chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (DELVACCA) is hosting its fifth annual Spring Fling, a social networking event, on Thursday, June 14 from 6-9 p.m. This year, the event will be held at the Franklin Institute's Fels Planetarium, in conjunction with the Institute's spectacular King Tutankhamun exhibit. The Franklin Institute is located at 20th Street and Ben Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia. Guests will enjoy sumptuous heavy hors d'oeuvres, special desserts and an open bar of wine, beer and soft drinks, and if they choose, may view the amazing collection of artifacts from King Tutankhamun's world. The event is being generously sponsored by the law firms and companies listed below.
The Spring Fling is one of DELVACCA's premier social events. It presents an opportunity for in-house counsel and other individuals interested in the corporate legal environment to network in a spectacular venue. According to Deborah Butler, DELVACCA Board Member and lead planner for the event, "We always hold the Spring Fling in an exciting location to encourage people who think 'I won't know anybody' to come out and enjoy a setting that can serve as a conversation starter."
We especially like to use the Spring Fling as a venue for outreach to members of the legal community who may not know that there is a member service organization devoted to just in-house counsel.
Admission to the reception and exhibit is $60 for DELVACCA members and $75 for non-members. Admission to the reception only is $35 for members and $50 for non-members. Viewing of the King Tutankhamun exhibit will be reserved by timed tickets only and reservations will be available on a first come, first served basis. See the DELVACCA Website for further details.
Corporate sponsors of this event are: Platinum Sponsor, Wolf Block; Gold Sponsors, Coleman/Nourian and Saul Ewing; Silver Sponsors, Cozen O'Connor, Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP, Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company, Littler Mendelson P.C. and Woodcock Washburn LLP.
Parking is available in a garage (located at 21st and Winter Streets) which is connected to The Franklin Institute. Street (metered) parking is also available. The Franklin Institute is bordered by several one-way streets. See the DELVACCA Website or your favorite mapfinder for directions.
