Letter From The President Of The European Chapter Of The Association Of Corporate Counsel

2007-01-01 01:00

To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :

Are you or is someone in your law department new to in-house practice? If so, I invite you to join us at ACC Europe's Corporate Counsel University on March 6-7 in Amsterdam. The event provides a great opportunity to gain the necessary groundwork to foster a successful, in-house career.

Open only to in-house counsel with a focus on those practising for 1-5 years, Corporate Counsel University will teach you how to excel in your new role with a focus on the basics you need to succeed. You will learn first-hand from your in-house colleagues who have been there and share ideas with those who are there now.

You will have the chance to learn from other in-house experts on such topics as how to be a successful in-house practitioner, EU competition, financial analysis and, new this year, career development, building negotiation skills and EU labour law. These and other topics will bring you up to date on all those 'small' but really big issues for which no other prior education has prepared you. Plus, you'll have plenty of networking time to meet and talk with other in-house counsel so you can establish contacts that will help you long after the meeting.

With registration set at only 425, you can't afford not to make this investment in your career or legal department. But hurry! This registration rate is only valid until December 8. Registration is limited to in-house counsel and includes courses, written materials, and scheduled meals/receptions. It does not include housing, travel, or personal expenses.

Sincerely,

Catherine Fox
