Letter From The President Of The Northeast Chapter Of The Association Of Corporate Counsel

2006-10-01 00:00

To The Readers Of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel :

Back by popular demand, the Northeast Chapter of ACC is hosting a 'mini-MBA' program for its Annual Conference on November 16. Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP will be sponsoring this event.

Entitled 'What You Didn't Learn in Law School: Business Strategy, Financial Red Flags, Organizational Behavior,' this year's program will require that attendees read a case study prior to attending. All the presentations will deal with the particular problems and situations faced by the company in the case study. Topics to be addressed are: Financial Statements: What They Tell Us; Strategic Formulations and Implementation; Managing Work Relationships; Financial Statement Analysis: Recognizing the Red Flags, and Spotting the Legal Issues.

Co-sponsor Boston University School of Management developed the 'Mini-MBA' for ACC-Northeast last year. The overwhelmingly enthusiastic response indicates that we're on the right track.

The program is open to ACC-Northeast members only; unlike last year, we will not have room for non-members. Please plan to join so you can attend!

Sincerely,

Bill O'Brien
